As we look at the seven letters in the book of Revelation, it is helpful to remember that they are a picture of seven kinds of churches that you find in any age, in any period of history. Every church in the world today will fall into one or more of these categories of churches. We fit into one of these ourselves.

Today we come to Thyatira. Our Lord tells us that He was pleased with their good deeds, love, faith, service and perseverance. He was pleased, but still had something against them. They had become tolerant of teachers who led Christians into idolatry and sexual immorality, and it seems that more than just a few had been led astray. The good news for Thyatira and for all churches today is that God gives us all a chance to repent and return to Him.
