In the end we all need saving from the wrath of God. So how can you be confident that when you stand before the LORD on judgment day that you will pass the test? It turns out that your ability to pass that test rests solely in your decision to put your faith in Jesus Christ—because only he will stand in your place. As the beautiful hymn goes, “My hope is built on nothing less / Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness / I dare not trust the sweetest frame / but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.”
