Romans 7:13-25 – Keep Weeding!

Two weeks ago, our teens cleaned up the space around the cross at church. Once we started weeding we realized we could pull as many as we wanted, but we would not get all of them.

The problem of weeding is similar to the problem of sin in our life. It is a pain to work on and no doubt many of the behaviors we thought we dealt with in our life return again. The believer has two options regarding sin—give up and let bad behaviors ruin everything or keep fighting them back again and again.

Sins that return in our life discourage us and defeat our spirits. Satan tries to convince us to just walk away or to justify our wrong behaviors. Paul tells us in Romans 7 to keep our hope because we have a savior who rescues us.
