The Great Reversal

Today in the word we dig deep into Esther six. Here we discover God turning the table on Haman and his evil plan. I have titled this talk “The Great Reversal” because like so many great reversals of fortune, fame and power, it happens so fast that those involved hardly sit it coming. In today’s story, Haman is completely oblivious. In the beginning, he wanted nothing more than to have Mordecai bow and honor him, but at the end of this chapter it is Haman who is forced to honor Mordecai. Nothing is too hard for God and we see Him reversing the fates of men and nations throughout Scripture, but the greatest reversal is the one which has happened in our hearts, for we used to hearts of stone, but God has given each of us a new heart of flesh.
