Today in the Word we enter the second major division in the book of Revelation. Chapter one, which we just completed seems to fulfill the command of 1:19, “Write therefore the things you have seen.” Chapters two and three, which we begin today, are the messages to the seven churches, which refer to “those (things) that are”. These messages carry encouragement, rebuke, warning and promise. They were written to specific churches and yet still speak to the church of today.
