Love in Action

Romans 12:9-21

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Romans 12:9 NIV

How often do we really love other people? This verse talks about not pretending to love others, but really loving them. What does real love look like?

Real love, God’s kind of love isn’t always easy to live out. Real love looks out for what is best for the other person. It doesn’t just say and do what makes other people happy. Real love stays the course. It doesn’t change based on how someone treats you or how you feel. It takes guts. Choose to demonstrate real love today to someone who might be hurting. You never know who you might win for Christ by choosing to love!

Series Information

The theme of the Book of Romans is the gospel: the good news that God declares sinners to be righteous when they trust in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on their behalf. If we get even a glimmer of what this book imparts, we will join Paul on our faces, exclaiming (Rom. 11:33), “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”
