As for Me and My House: The Kitchen Table

Today in our series “As for Me and My House,” we are going to look at the kitchen table. For many of us the kitchen table stirs memories of conversations with family and holiday meals long past. The table is more than just a flat surface upon which to dine. The kitchen table can be the central place of connection, the heartbeat of community within the family. Just as we seek community around the table with our friends and family, God also seeks to commune with us and he has used the table as an instrument and symbol of community since the beginning of time. Today we will look at passages from both the Old and New Testaments and discover just how important the kitchen table is in serving Him and building our house on the Rock.
