Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

God has a plan for all of us and uses us, not despite our shortcomings, but because of and through them. He always sees us through our potential in Him.

In David, God saw a teenage boy serving Him in fields of his father near Bethlehem. His father and younger brothers saw an awkward and immature boy, not fit for anything accept tending the sheep. Yet, "the Lord said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is the one."  God saw what no one else saw:  a heart after God’s own heart.

Others will always size you up by your outward appearance and your worldly characteristics. Not God.  He looks to the heart.  When He finds one set on Him, he calls it and claims it. Your Father knows your heart, and because He does, He has a place reserved-just for you!
